LO2: Recording interviews and live broadcasts

 Recording interviews and live broadcasts

Radio stations can record their interviews and live broadcasts to put it on their website for example.
This also shows their audience what they have done recently.

Recording interviews on the go

How to Record Live Interviews for Radio | Radio.co

To record interviews when out and about, you can use your phone, laptop or portable mic.
Phones are the best for portability and they are cheap, but they don't product good audio quality which is a problem for big radio stations or radio stations in general as the quality of the audio is extremely important.

A laptop with a mic isn't very portable but it is great for the audio quality. Laptops are very expensive so you might not want to take it around with you.

Another way to record interviews is using an external mic which means it is portable and it has good sound quality. Therefore, if Zest Radio is going to conduct interviews outside of the radio station, they should use a portable mic.

Recording interviews and live broadcasts

There are lots of software that let you record online live broadcasts such SquadCast, Alitu, Riverside.fm, Iris.fm, Ringer and many more. Because you are not on the go, you can use a typical radio set up (mic with arm and shockmount, a computer with radio software, a microphone processor.. ) to record interviews and live broadcasts using a recording or livestream software.

Listeners can listen to the radio live and online of their website.
