 Broadcasting, scheduling and distribution opportunities The BBC has to entertain, educate and inform its audience as they create content for everyone. BBC public service radios show the scheduling for their radios on the radio websites; you can see what shows are going to be broadcasted and at what times. Here you can see that Radio 1Xtra has mainly music shows and talking/talk shows such as "The 1Xtra Breakfast show with Nadia Jae" and "Songs To Live By". The 1Xtra Breakfast show with Nadia Jae is scheduled for 7:00 in the morning and ends at 10:00. Many people will be getting ready for work, eating breakfast or going to work; they would like sound in the background. Horizontal integration is when a company promotes across different media subsidiaries.
